PULLING THE PLUG

Hip Hop Journalism will be discontinued while I construct my website and record my first profitable album. To those of you who have become regular readers, thank you for your patronage, and I hope you've found something worthwhile in the perspective I've sought to cultivate with these words. This blog began on the first day of Ramadan and came to a rather abrupt end on New Year's Eve, and although events have been anything but boring in recent weeks, I've arrived at a place where I simply have nothing good to say anymore about the state of the world. I've come to the conclusion that acting as a filter for world news requires spending an inordinate amount of time poring over the self-perpetuating evils of our sick societies, which is not a healthy personal trait for a cynical bastard like myself. Given the trends, the news is just going to get worse, and I don't want to be a delivery system for it... There are better uses for language than merely offering commentary on the pervasive idiocies of man, and I intend to pursue those uses in other media...

I will have something along the lines of a website up soon, with mp3s, writings, DJ mixes, videos, and maybe even a blog if i have time to kill...
